Kuala Lumpur Metro Group won the CNBC International Property Award 2007 for the category “Best Architecture” and “Best Development” for the project, The Legend International Water Homes.

The Kuala Lumpur Metro Group of Companies (The Group) started out in 1996 as a construction contractor and undertook infrastructure and related construction projects in Malaysia, completing numerous projects with values approaching RM280 millions and it has recently completed an infra-construction project in Qatar for the construction of a major highway.

The Group then diversified into other fields such as property consultancy with Eastern Standard Property Consultants; interior design and renovation and real estate investment. As part of its long term plan to widen its earning base, the Group has also ventured into property development with Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan (M) with the development of The Legend Water Chalets and now with The Legend International Water Homes. The forthcoming water chalets project in Port Dickson and Malacca together with the foregoing projects, have a combined gross development value (GDV) of approximately RM1 billion.
