Montenegro news
Given all the recent news stories coming out of Montenegro we thought it would be a good idea to look again at the multitude of reasons behind why Montenegro is such a success story in these difficult times. Here at Emerging Real Estate we have been recommending Montenegro for quite some time now & many other people are now backing our assessment of the country as a viable investment option.
Leading international hotel chains such as Hilton, Banyan Tree and Amman are moving into the country, attracting tourists wanting luxury holidays and this, together of course with the luxury developments such as Porto Montenegro, are doing wonders for the country’s tourism image. Porto Montenegro is the flagship 500 million Euro luxury yachting development and marina, and also boasts designer stores for shopping, luxury residential units and a variety of restaurants.
The recent World Travel and Tourism Council Economic Impact Report 2011 showed that emerging economies like Montenegro are likely to be increasingly important to the global economy with a booming tourism industry attracting foreign people to travel as well as the Montenegrins themselves. Similarly, the World Trade Organisation has confirmed that Montenegro has one of the fastest growing tourism sectors in the world. The first half of this year saw tourism revenue estimated at just under 125 million Euros which is 6.6% more than the first six months of 2010 and this growth shows no signs of slowing.
The real estate market in Montenegro is also proving healthy with significant growth over recent years, which is predicted to continue. There is still considered to be a shortage of quality property stock so those who have bought to rent out are doing well, as well as those who have bought themselves a luxury holiday home in this beautiful country. Investing in real estate in Montenegro is fairly straightforward and the country benefits from an excellent land registry system which prevents a number of issues than can occur when buying property in other Eastern European countries around title to property.
