York Voted Friendliest Place to Live
As you may have seen from our website, we recently added some exciting new properties in the York Area. While our main motivation is delivering investable products wherever possible we don’t just choose our properties based on this but on lifestyle choice – which is why we are delighted to be offering properties in the UK’s friendliest place to live.
Earlier this year, in a survey run by the health insurance company National Friendly, York was voted as the ‘Friendliest Place’ in the UK to live, beating the usual winners of Edinburgh and Cambridge. Interestingly, the south coast performed poorly with Southampton at the bottom of the list and Brighton only halfway up whereas London couldn’t even get out of the bottom three.
The Friendly Index as it has become known, asked over 3,000 UK residents questions such as how often they spoke to their neighbours and if they were on first name terms with the milkman, postman etc. The external relations manager at VisitYork, Ian Tempest said – “We’re delighted to hear that York has got the top spot, receiving national recognition as the UK’s friendliest city. We are proud of the warm welcome that the city is able to give the millions of visitors who come to York every year, and see this as a tribute to the genuine friendliness of York residents.
We are really excited to be offering such high quality products in York, already one of the UK’s most historically important cities and now the friendliest too.
To find out more about the properties we are offering at Birch Park, just one mile from the city centre of York but close to the rural parish of Huntington, please do not hesitate to contact us for a chat or to request a brochure detailing the one, two and three bedroom homes on offer all with high quality spec.
